Château de Lauzanac is just 2miles from the medieval Bastide town of Eymet with all amenities including bakeries, supermarket, hairdressers and an enchanting square with a market twice a week in the summer and several excellent restaurants for all budgets.

The principle surrounding towns/cities include:

Bergerac: Medieval market town situated 20 minutes north of Lauzanac with a bustling town life, good restaurants and on the banks of the Dordogne. There is a huge supermarket for large family shopping.

Bergerac has an airport (Roumaniere) which provides easy access to Lauzanac as it is only 20min away. It is served by Ryanair and Flybe with direct flights to/from various destinations in the UK including Stanstead, Gatwick and Southampton.

There is also the option of the TGV to Bordeaux or Libourne which links up to the Eurostar. From Gatwick you can fly to Bordeaux airport (Merignac)

St Emilion: This beautiful town between Bergerac and Bordeaux 1hr from Lauzanac is the centre of the wine growing area of Bordeaux and where the finest wines in the region are to be found. It is a great day out with visits to the Grand Chateaux, wine cellars and wine making facilities as well as a tourist mini-train which takes you all around the city sites.

Bordeaux: One of the largest cities of France on the banks of the Garonne. Fabulous shopping, restaurants, galleries and site seeing including one of the finest cathedrals in France. Bordeaux has a new tram system throughout the city allowing easy access to all the central parts of the city. It is 1hr 30mins from Lauzanac.
